CNN reporter under fire for saying Kate 'brilliant' for producing male heir
A CNN correspondent is copping flak for saying the Duchess of Cambridge was "brilliant" for producing a male heir "on her first time".
During a live broadcast after the announcement of the birth, reporter Victoria Arbiter said many royal women felt "panicked" about producing a male heir, but "brilliant" Kate had done it "first time".
The comments have unleashed a storm of protest on social media, with some Tweeters accusing CNN's royalty correspondent of being sexist, or suggesting Arbiter was "living in medieval times". Others asked if she was living in 2013 or 1540.
