Boston: Dorchester Teen Darryl Dookhran Arrested With Gun On Campus
BOSTON -- A Dorchester teen is behind bars Friday moing, caught with a semi-automatic weapon at a local campus, police said.
Undercover detectives said they arrested Darryl Max Dookhran Thursday on the Wellesley campus of Massachusetts Bay Community College.
In his backpack they said they found a Tec-9 semi-automatic gun with an 18-round magazine and a bullet in the chamber.
Dookhran was ordered held pending a dangerousness hearing.
Dookhran pleaded not guilty to charges including possession of a large capacity firearm and possession of a firearm on school grounds at his arraignment Friday in Dedham District Court.
The dangerousness hearing was scheduled for Tuesday.
