Body of teen girl Rebecca Kimberly identified as member of missing family
The body of a teenage girl found by Coast Guard officials has been identified by a family member as one of the three missing teenagers who were last seen on Sunday sailing off Florida’s Gulf Coast.
Sadie Dilts, aunt of the missing teens, said in an interview with WTVJ that the body found was 17- year- old Rebecca Kimberly; Dilts told WTVJ that Rebecca’s body was found about 44 miles from the shore wearing a life vest. The body was found on Wednesday afteoon in a debris field in the Gulf of Mexico but the Coast guard has yet to officially identify it.

The Coast guard began the search for the missing family on Tuesday after a conceed family member called and said that the father and three teenagers had never arrived at Fort Myers to repair the sailboat.
About 10 a.m. on Wednesday, the coast guard recovered debris about 33 miles from Sanibel island which included a propane tank, a tarp, four water bottles tied together, tennis shoes, and six life jackets. The brother of missing father Ace Kimberly later confirmed that the debris belonged to the missing sailboat.
Coast guard officials continue search and rescue efforts for the remaining missing family members.
