FALLING: The woman reported the incident half an hour later

Authorities in Arizona said they have arrested a woman accused of running down her boyfriend and leaving his body in the middle of the road after he told her he was HIV positive.

Video of the incident shows Misty Lee Wilkes hit the victim while on his bike in the alleged hit and run in April.

The man can be seen flying through the air as she speeds up to run through him and his bicycle.

He flips several times over the body of her red Ford Mustang – before his crumpled body is left lying by his bicycle.

Medical officials later said the man – who survived the alleged vehicular assault – had suffered a fractured vertebrae and head trauma.

Driver Misty Lee Wilke called police 30 minutes after running over her boyfriend – claiming the man had revealed to her he was HIV positive just before the alleged attack.

According to the police report: ‘The defendant claimed the argument was started when she found out the vitim has HIV. He was laughing at her and Misty admitted to pushing the victim.’

Ms Wilke then claimed she had jumped into her car in shock and drove on without looking.

The grand jury at Maricopa county in Phoenix, Arizona, indicted Wilke on a string of charges, including attempted second degree murder, aggravated assault and leaving the scene of an accident..

But she is pleading not guilty to all charges.
