Alabama man Glenn Sledge shoots brother Bryde Sledge in the head over theft
An Alabama man was arrested on Saturday after he shot his brother in the head over a theft in their mother's home.
Cops told WAFF-TV that Glenn Sledge, 50, shot Bryde Sledge, 44, after the younger man admitted to stealing something from their mother's home.
As the two were arguing, the 44-year-old Sledge got into his white pickup truck to drive off. His older brother followed him down the street and began firing several rounds into his car, according to the report.
A bullet went through the truck's windshield and struck Bryde Sledge in the forehead, a spokesman for the police department told The Huntsville Times. He is expected to have surgery to remove the bullet lodged in his forehead, but the injuries are not considered life threatening.
It was not clear what exactly Bryde stole from their mother's house to evoke such a reaction, but his older brother was booked on charges of first degree assault and shooting into an occupied vehicle.
He was being held in the county jail awaiting a bond hearing and cops said the investigation was ongoing.
