18-Yr-Old Brittany Vermillion Confesses to Robbery, Kidnapping
HOUSTON - An 18-year-old girl confessed her role in an armed robbery and kidnapping in north Houston nearly a year ago, according to a court document.
Brittany Lachell Vermillion, 18, is charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and was last said to be in custody at the Montgomery County Detention Facility in Conroe.
Vermillion told officials on June 7, she and 2 men ambushed a man near the intersection of Westfield Loop Road and Hardy Road on September 15, 2010, according to the court document.
She identified both men and said they had planned to “go out and make some money” earlier that night.
The 2 men, Kevin Carrico and Douglas Ashley, were also identified by the victim in the incident from a photo spread.
Carrico, the father of Vermillion’s children, was said to be the apparent leader of the group.

The victim told investigators the suspects’ vehicle drove in front of him, intentionally blocking his forward path.
The 3 suspects got out of the vehicle and ordered him, at gunpoint, to get in the trunk. The victim said he was in the trunk for about 3 hours.
Vermillion got her hands on the victim’s vehicle title and forced him to sign it over to her, according to the document.
He was later dropped off near the intersection of North Beltway 8 East and Lee Road. The suspects fled in his vehicle.
Several hours later, the following moing, Vermillion was arrested in Montgomery County for a separate aggravated robbery. Law enforcement officials found a handgun and the victim’s vehicle title in her possession.
