Vernett Bader stabs roommate for refusing to stop playing music by The Eagles

VERNETT Bader really doesn't like The Eagles.

The 54-year-old South Carolina woman has been arrested after allegedly stabbing her roommate (and ex-boyfriend) multiple times for refusing to stop playing music by The Eagles.

Ms Bader was watching TV with the victim's brother when she told her ex, 64, she didn't want to listen to the band, The Post and Courier reports.

The victim, having excellent taste in music, refused. Well, to be more specific, he told Ms Bader to shut up.

She reacted by grabbing a serrated knife from the kitchen and stabbing him in the arm, hand and elbow.

When the brothers managed to wrestle the knife away from her, Ms Bader went back to the kitchen for another. At this point they presumably told her to "Take It Easy".

Ms Bader later confessed to the crime, but claimed it was an act of self-defence to counter her roommate's choking.

Investigators did not see any marks on her neck.
