This heart-breaking photo was posted by TheMacMan on reddit with the caption, "His mom caught him spending time with his daddy. He lost daddy (SFC Benjamin Wise) in Afghanistan on Jan 15th." The terribly sad photo provoked an outpouring of sympathy from Redditors and also empathy — some shared their own stories of fathers that never came back from war, or came back irrevocably changed.
