Ohio State University students discover stranger living in their basement

AT LEAST he was a "nice guy" named Jeremy and not a really creepy dude.

Students at Ohio university share house were shocked to find a strange man living in a secret bedroom in the basement of their home without their knowledge.

For months the roommates had heard strange noises - 'dings' and 'alarms' - emanating from behind a locked door, the housemates told The Lante.

They told their mates they had a ghost. Until they became suspicious enough to ask their landlord to open up the locked door.

Inside was a typical boy's bedroom: a mattress, clothes everywhere and photos on the wall of 'Jeremy' and his family.

The landlord left a note for Jeremy asking him to call him. He moved out shortly after.

The roommates are just relieved it wasn't a "dangerous" situation.

"He was a really nice guy, I feel bad for him," said resident Brett Muggin. "But you know. He wasn't supposed to be living here."
