NYPD release shocking footage of knife-wielding burglar crawling into bedroom
THE terrifying moment a knife-wielding burglar broke into a home and crawled into a bedroom where a family lay asleep was captured on nanny cam.
New York Police Department released the shocking footage in hopes of locating the suspect, who broke into the Queens premises early Wednesday moing, local time.
The footage shows a person, who appears to be male, entering the home at about 2.30am before crawling into the bedroom of the couple and their three children.
While crawling through the bedroom, the man appears to be clenching a knife between his mouth when he steals a mobile phone off the dresser.
The mother who was sleeping in the room at the time told NBC that they were “very, very scared” because of the knife in his mouth.
A man who was also staying in the home said the knife was obviously “for protection for himself in case somebody came to him”.
The burglary suspect spent about 40 minutes wandering through the home’s different rooms, with his jouey captured by surveillance cameras.
He was scared off after one of the sleeping adults woke up.
