Horror as three-month-old baby dies after being shot in the face by heartless thugs
Police responded to reports of gunfire in Compton just minutes away from an elementary school only to find the three-month-old with gunshot wounds to the face.
Police rushed the child to hospital but the infant was pronounced dead on Wednesday moing.
Gang crime is rife in the rough neighborhood
Two men were reported to have fled the scene in a vehicle.
Infamous Compton is known for gangs, crime and hip-hop.
The neighborhood has had 475 violent crimes in the last six months, including eight murders.
In 1988 rap collective N.W.A released their famous album “Straight Outta Compton”.
Statistics have shown that the area is even more crime-ridden than violent Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
