IS THIS the worst police sketch ever? Texas authorities have released this image in the hopes of catching a suspected robber.

The image was sent out by Lamar County Sheriff’s Department after two women were robbed at knife point in Paris, Texas last Thursday.

The man is apparently not a cartoon character and is described as 6ft tall with short black hair, a round face and tattoos on his arms and neck. He reportedly threatened the women with a knife, demanding money and then fled on foot after he got what he wanted.

Extra reports that the sheriff’s department stresses that the sketch is "not a true depiction of the suspect, only a likeness."

You may think that this is the worst police sketch in history but that could well belong to this 2009 image released by Bolivian police looking for a suspected murderer.

However, they did manage to catch the suspect after the sketch was released.
