Goodwill apologizes for Resting Kanye Face in newsletter to supervisors
Goodwill apologizes for asking supervisors to avoid having 'Resting Kanye Face' when dealing with other employees because it makes them look unapproachable

Goodwill has apologized for sending a newsletter to supervisors waing them about using Kanye West's 'resting face' when dealing with employees because it makes them look unapproachable.

Senior staffers in the Illinois division of the well-known charity used a picture of Kim Kardashian's rapper husband to show their employees what they should not look like while in the workplace.

The organization's effort to be 'relatable' blew up in its face when TMZ got one of the newsletters.

Our Goodwill representative said: 'We'd like to apologize to Kanye West, his fans and the community for the use of his image to illustrate an inteal training message.

'It was unacceptable and Goodwill takes full responsibility for this action and meant no disrespect to Kanye.'

The newsletter has been pulled from Goodwill's stores and donation centers, the organization said.

The mercurial music star is known for his often stony and ste expression and is sometimes accused of looking upset or unimpressed in happy situations.

The newsletter showed West's unchanged face above the captions happy, sad, conceed, scared and excited.

The top of the letter read: 'Do you suffer from Resting Kanye Face?' before adding: 'Those who do, may not be seen by others as 'approachable''.

'Employees want leaders they feel comfortable approaching and communicating with.'

The letter then details how senior staff can appear more approachable by giving advice such as smiling, keeping your head up and making eye contact.

According to the Goodwill website, the organization helps provide people with education and training to reach their full potential.

They run programs for jobseekers such as youths, senior veterans, people with disabilities and those with criminal backgrounds.
