Engaged Plano teacher Alaina Ferguson sexually assaulted student, sent nude photos

PLANO, Texas - A former Plano Senior High School teacher called off her wedding after facing charges for sexually assaulting one of her students and sending nude photos of herself to him.

According to an arrest affidavit, Alaina Ferguson, 23, who was engaged to be married started the relationship around the start of the school year after the 16-year-old student wrote his Snapchat useame on a test paper.

The affidavit says shortly after the two started chatting online, they met up and had sex on a park bench. Two weeks later, she reportedly had sex several times with him again at an apartment that belonged to her fiancé, who was out of town.

She was arrested for sexually assaulting the unnamed teen and sending him raunchy photos.

The arrest warrant says the last time the two had sex was in early November in the back of the student's pickup truck following a football game.

The detective who wrote the arrest warrant noted that Ferguson told the teen “she knew it was not the right thing to do, but it felt right at the time. And that she was going to break it off with her fiancé because she didn’t feel anything with him.”

A student told Fox 4 News: "It's kind of crazy. It's scary that this could happen between a teacher and a child."

Top education bosses said the teacher quit her job at Plano Senior High School in October.

Ferguson was ordered to wear an electronic monitoring device and deactivate all her social media by a judge.

She was also slapped with a ban from the inteet.

Ferguson's bail was set at $100,000 and as part of the terms of her release, she must wear an electronic monitoring device, deactivate all of her social media sites and is prohibited from using the inteet.
