Burglary suspects found sleeping in Florida Beach home
Three burglary suspects were arrested Tuesday after they were found sleeping inside a Florida Beach home, police said.
Boynton Beach police said they were called to a burglary inside a gated community. When police arrived, they found that the downstairs patio sliding glass door was open.
According to the police report, officers searched the home and found Lionel Cobb, Shelley Davis and Andrew Leonard sleeping in an upstairs bedroom.
Police said they also found a stolen gun and crack cocaine lying on the ground near the sleeping suspects.
Leonard said they were hired by a contractor to clean the home and had been given the keys and a gate access card, police said.
The homeowner told police that she hired the contractor to clean the house, but she fired him after he failed to do so. She said she's asked him to retu her keys on numerous occasions, and he is no longer allowed on the property.
Police said the house was "extremely dirty and had a large amount of trash strewn about the rooms."
