Armed robbery Victor Almanza-Martinez suspect arrested after taking Snapchat selfie with alleged victim
A man was arrested after he took a Snapchat selfie with the person he’d just allegedly robbed.
Police said Victor Almanza-Martinez and two other suspects approached four victims on Wednesday at Lover Point Park, in Califoia, and robbed them of their car and belongings.
The suspects then reportedly fled in the stolen 2013 black Chrysler 200 (which is still missing) but before leaving Almanza-Martinez and a female victim apparently exchanged Snapchat information and posed for a selfie together.
Police say the selfie helped them track down 18-year-old Almanza-Martinez, who’s from Castroville.
He has been charged with armed robbery and kidnapping and is being held at the Monterey County Jail.
Police are still searching for two other suspects believed to have participated in the armed robbery.
